Lions' Rogers being investigated for sex crime

06/11/2007 - Detroit, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Detroit Lions star defensive tackle Shaun Rogers is reportedly being investigated for an alleged sex crime.

The Detroit Free Press said that police are investigating the former Texas star for an incident early Friday morning involving a woman at a Detroit strip club.

A spokeswoman for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office told the newspaper that they have received a request from Detroit police for an arrest warrant accusing the former Pro Bowl player of criminal sexual conduct.

No charges have been filed at this point, however.

Rogers, who was suspended for four games last season, has amassed 314 tackles and 22 sacks in 82 career games -- all with the Lions.

The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
