Moyer allowed two hits in one scoreless inning, throwing 18 pitches. It is unclear how he suffered the injury, but Andrew Carpenter replaced him in the second inning.

Moyer, who is still pitching in the league at age 47, came into the game with a 9-9 record to go with a 4.88 earned run average.
