04/24/2010 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Seattle Sounders FC travel to take on Toronto FC for a Major League Soccer fixture on Sunday afternoon, three days after earning a 2-2 draw at FC Dallas.
The Sounders (2-1-2) will be gunning for the full points after feeling that they left some on the table at Dallas on Thursday night. Jeff Cunningham scored two penalty-kick goals, including the equalizer seconds before the final whistle, to earn a share of the points for FCD.
"Bad call," Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid told his club's website about the late penalty. "There were couple of bad calls near the end of the game. When you're leading the game 2-1 and a guy gets fouled, that's just not understanding what's going on in the game. I haven't seen the replay, but everyone who has says it was a bad call."
Toronto (1-3-0), on the other hand, will be trying to get in the win column after dropping three of its first four to start the season. The team's only other home game resulted in its only result of the season, 2-1 over Philadelphia on April 15.
TFC is coming off a 3-1 loss at Colorado in its last league fixture last weekend. Two penalty-kick goals by Conor Casey and a Jeff Larentowicz free kick goal spelled doom for the visitors at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
"No team has been really dominating us in our half and creating chance after chance after chance," TFC coach Preki told mlssoccer.com. "Hopefully we'll get our breaks and things will even up. It looks bad, but I don't think its bad. I would be really worried if [goalkeeper] Stefan [Frei] had to every game make 10 saves, I would be really worried, but if you look at the first half he doesn't touch the ball."
Toronto will be without defender Emmanuel Gomez for the game, while midfielder Amadou Sanyang is expected to be available.
The Sounders will be without forward Nate Jaqua, while Taylor Graham is doubtful, midfielder Michael Fucito is questionable, and midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is probable.
